* Congrats to Matt Kitchen's hunting dog 'Lady'.
Matt decided to trial his hunting dog and wow, she has earned three titles!
She is now an AKC Field Champion, AKC Amateur Field Champion, R/U American
Field Champion! Her father is Chief's Nubbin' Ridge Runner aka
'Nubbin'

* A HUGE congratulations to Don White, owner
of R/U Champion Tonk Valley Runaway Red, aka 'Rusty'. Rusty, at age 20
months, won American Field R/U Champion at the only Brittany Derby
Championship in the country! He demonstrated his steadiness to wing
and shot at this early age in a one hour run at the Championship stake.
He truly proved himself!
* In less than 24 months, my hunting dog
Nubbin' becomes the sire of 5 AKC/FDSB Champions, 1 NSTRA Champion, 1 Senior Hunter, and 1 NAVDHA winner (x2).
Nubbin' is truly a special hunting dog and 99 percent of our clients never
trial. The few who tried it in the last couple years have done well!
Several more of his progeny have multiple points towards titles in the above
venues. This has all been accomplished by Nubbin' bred to different
dams. He is truly prepotent and an extraordinary expresser of the
hunting Brittany!
I thank all of those hunters who have decided
to dabble in competition. You have done a great job and made Nubbin'
proud!!!!
* Another congrats to Doug Arnold. His
dog Gunner, son of my dog Nubbin', finished his field championship title in
the fall of 08. Also, in January of 09, Gunner won R/U American Field
Champion title at the Sunland Championship in New Mexico. Gunner was
just an ordinary hunting dog the first two years of his life with no
intentions of trialing so this is really special for Doug.
